And now, the mods of hpvamp would like to unearth the next themed gift exchange...

Bonding/love theme - from fluffy/sweet to dark/obsessive and all points in-between. How do vampires say "Be mine"?

Yes, sweet doves of the night, we're calling on you to celebrate Vampentine's Day with us. You asked for more themed exchanges, so we hope this will be something for all to bite into and enjoy.

Guidelines:

:F At least one character must be a vampire.
:F Use the theme to inspire you (bonding/love/lust/valentine's day/obsession/possession)
:F Gen/het/slash - ratings G to NC-17 all welcome
:F You can chose to give either art or fic, but because there always seems to be more authors than artists, so please choose to receive fic or 'either' for your own gift. Please don't ask just for art. *lick*
:F Be generous in your requests - give your author/artist lots of room to create the perfect gift for you.

FAQ's

What's an exchange?: Someone writes/draws a Vampentine gift for you, and you do the same for a request that will be e-mailed to you - except it's all done secretly, so no one knows who gave them the gift until the master list is posted.

Do I have to be a member of hpvamp to sign up?: No, but it does make things easier because all NC-17 fics are friends locked on our pale little community, so you won't be able to see the higher rated entries unless you're a member.

How do I become a member?: Follow the three steps on the community profile page, and you'll be as ready as an open grave. Welcome!

The readers get to read all the gifts, but to get one made just for you, you have to write or draw one for someone else.

Haven't participated here before, so may I ask for a clarification?
How do you limit what you're willing to write? The 3 - 5 pairings are just for the request, not the offer, right? Or both? Ditto with the squicks. Is there a way to ensure you don't end up having to write a character you loathe doing things you find completely horrendous?

I just have one question, About the beta. Do I'll need to find a beta for myself? can I do that at all? or are there's something that I don't that is obvious about the beta's and I don't know about it?

As dacro replied above to a similar question, you can post for a beta on the community any time. There are lots of fellow nightstalkers out there who would love to help you out.
And for the purposes of this exchange, you might want to ask for a beta who is not taking part in the exchange and who can help you keep your entry secret until the time to reveal authors/artists is upon us.

If you are not a member, you can still join, but it just makes things easier if you are. For example, if someone gifted you with a gift that was over an R rating, you would not be able to read it, since we friends lock all NC-17 posts. Also, membership shows us that each person involved is over the age of consent in their region - saves our butts so we're not breaking the law by gifting prOn to 14 year olds.

I'm willing to be a back-up writer/artist:
You would answer yes or no. If someone backs out of the exchange and we need a last-minute request filled, we call on the back-up people to write or draw another gift, so that no one is left out. In most cases, we only need one or two volunteers, but it's nice to know who's willing, just in case.
