Okay, I'm kinda stuck in this fic I'm writing and for inspirational purposes, I have a question:
How does one get turned into a vampire by a vampire? Or at least, what is the general consensus?

Do you get turned, when you get bitten? Or do you have to be sucked dry? Or do you have to get bitten (or sucked dry) and then drink blood from the vamp that drank from you? Do you change immediately? Or does it take a day or two?

I've googled it and surprisingly there aren't that many answers (or at least, I couldn't find them. So what do you guys think? And, as we're speaking of the wizarding world, do you think there's another way to get changed? Potions or a curse maybe?
